Part 1: She Knows He Knows

He touched her finger that was still pointed at his chest, "Still manage to scare the day out of me, I see." She smiled. Too sweetly. "Are you trying to get us killed? Not a good day to die, you say?".

How To Cross Road In Margonda

Somebody should publish this kind of booklet long before I even got enrolled in University of Indonesia. Duh! 1. If there's eventually a traffic light for passerby, please DO pay attention. It's not there for decoration purpose (only).

Dream High

Once upon a time, in one particular high school, lived one particular girl student. Let's call her Suzy. Not only that she got the looks, she also had the wealth and singing talent and lots of antis. All things other girls could only imagine.

Story From Far Java

On my last visit to Jogja (seriously this city has something captivating), I happened to visit Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat and Kraton Surakarta in one-day-trip to Solo.

Letting Go

The big question of letting go bugged my mind around these last couple of months. Some things.. are they worth to keep, or should I let them go. Think I'm pretty good of letting things go, but when inputs and comments started to coming in, I'd have to reconsider my decision.

Dirty Sexy Money

Another new running series for this season. Oooh, how I love new series and its first season. Well, for those of you who have watched Gossip Girl, you probably gonna stick it out for this too.. whatever 'stick it out' means anyway..

First line said is interesting.. The love of money is the root of all evil.

Dirty Sexy Money is about a filthy rich family, practically the richest dynasty lived in Manhattan (surprise surprise). And they're called The Darlings. So rich their only problem was to decide whether to spend 1 million USD for a bday party in a family house (like any normal kid would do) or in the middle of Brooklyn Bridge (which would acquire another million to prevent any other car to go through that bridge). Sick, huh?

Nevertheless, I love the characters in the movie, they're just... unimaginable. There are seven members of the family, the parent and the 5 children. Specifically I love the character named Brian Darling, one of the children, 40 sumtin and working as the man of God (or reverend). He made me laugh cause he's way too cynical to become a reverend, and he's way too skeptical to even live in this bloody world. He's even questioning God, duh! He's a reverend, for crying out loud.

Dear God, I don't ask you for much. Well, 'cause I know I don't deserve much. But please help the arbitrator to understand that I love my son. And please give her the good sense... to accept my donation. Thank You. Amen.

Doenk! He's actually bribing the man of law! Hehehehehe, he's quite the living proof about being balance between prosperity and poverty. Hidup secara 'sederhana' ama anak istri dan jadi pastur di gereja, but at the same time he could spend a ridiculous amount of money to bribe (aka commit a sin) if necessary.

Enak ya bo jadi dia. Hehehehehe.

Watching this movie reminds me a famous quote from someone (crap, I can't recall who he is). You wanna know the real characteristic of a man, give him money.

Hmm.. pantes aja gue rada sucks, nge-handle money aja belepotan.. Ya oloh, kemana tu gaji-gaji gue selama setaun?

Casshern and pretty Japanese boys

Kemaren tu gue nonton Japanese movie lagi, kali ini (thank God) alurnya lebih berwarna, ceria, dan ngga monoton boring like the previous batch.

Salah satunya tu movie entitled Casshern.

Casshern ( caught my attention gara-gara poster filmnya lucu, a guy wearing a subzero-like mask dan gue notabene cuman bisa liat matanya doang. Hahahaha, tapi intuisi gue emang tajem gila, tu cowo ternyata emang ganteng, heuheuheuheuhue.

Sugoooiii... *binar-binar*

Jalan ceritanya juga ngga boring dan kadang-kadang ngajak penontonnya buat mikir, udah gitu backsound musiknya kebanyakan ala Mozart klasik gitu, yah cukup bikin gue berasa ironic (sensasi yang sama dengan yang gue rasain pas nonton Battle Royale, adegan sadis tapi lagu Mozart yang slow banget)

Casshern tu bergenre action animation (mirip2 Ksatria Baja Hitam tapi jauh ya bo) tentang dunia laen mirip manusia. Ada android, ada manusia yang dibalikin dari kematian, ada rezim militer penguasa, dan so many robots. Various characters (Midori, Tetsuya, Luna, and the Neo-Sapiens) in the film wear blue contact lenses to represent blindness, disease, or resurrection from the dead. In an ironic twist, however, it can be interpreted that all of these characters are blind to the suffering (taken from Wikipedia)

HUAHAHAHA *tawa menggelegar*

D'you know why I'm happy? Cause my colleague di kantor ini adalah fans beratnya si Yui ituh, gue sih ngga kenal ya, tapi nevermind, karena dia punya video klipnya, dan (setelah nonton videonya) ooooh sangat cute sekali tu bocah.. Hahahahahahaha *happy* Sayang sekarang dah 18 taun. Sigh..

Anyway busway, setelah gue browsing dengan semangatnya di Wikipedia (i love this thing), gue stumbled ke halaman yang bilang kalo Jun Matsumoto (si F4 ala Jepun) juga pernah maen di drama called Kimi wa Petto ( Koq ni judul sounds familiar ya? Ada yang punya manga-nya ndak? Pinjeeeem...

There are lots of people in this life, whether they're staying in or simply just passing by. I might not know them personally one at a time, but sometimes I found myself showing lack of gratitude by their existence. Thus, my attitude corroborated my routine.

Never mind, whenever I got myself a time off, I had this sort of mental behavior that would acquired me to see things differently. And every now and then it came up with surprising result of new point of view. Not entirely bad, 'fcourse.

Like today, just now I was sitting idly in my room, pretending I'm in somewhat my own small high-rise, sipping chocolate milk and staring at the rain. I watched the rain pouring in, first lightly but then it goes heavy. And in the midst of the humid weather, I took a deep breath and start to realize I always love the earth scent in rainy day so bad. That bad I preferred to jump right in the middle of the rain to feel what it feel being children once again. Self consciousness prevent me from doing it obviously, but it didn't stop me from thinking those entire why's and why not's.

What the heck am I talking about? Nothing, apparently. Just one more bubble thoughts of mine.

Speaking of which, (again) I watched several movies. Most of them are indie-film doppelganger (although if it turned out to be not, it is still not my fault for I am an innocent and not-well-educated movie viewer). One is entitled Like Grains of Sand, starring Ayumi Hamasaki in her younger self and Okada Yoshinori. This is an interesting movie, not as dull as I thought, and not too divisive (which is not necessarily a good thing). Personally I hate an "over contentious" movie. Exposing sex scene and taboo things too much I could barely hold a yawn watching it. But that's just me.

Anyway, the movie is about perfect love triangle. Boy loves girl, girl loves another boy, and another boy loves the first boy. Tipikal film Jepang yang kadang-kadang susah nangkep emosi dan alur cerita, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

There's a moment when the gay boy is wearing the girl's summer dress (for only God knows why) in the beach while the girl is swimming. Then the straight boy came from behind and confessed to the supposedly the girl he's in love with, only it's the gay boy, not the girl. Which made me wonder, how stupid is this boy not recognizing that the figure in front of him is indeed a man and (clearly) not a woman? Gebleknya, si cewe ngeladenin cowonya ngobrol dari balik batu karang gitu jadi ngga ketauan kalo yang make tu gaun putih adalah the gay boy. Kocak pas gue nonton.

Conversationnya goes basically like this.

A (straight boy): I like you..
B (girl): Why do you like me?
A: There's no particular reason..
B: Would you still like me if I were a man?
A: What kind of question is that?
B: Answer me.
A: I might still like you, but it would be a different kind of feeling
B: Ito-kun likes you seriously too. (Ito-kun is the gay one -red)
A: But he's a man.
B: So? Is being a man a bad thing?
A: I can't sleep with a man.
B: How about woman?
A: Yes, I can.
B: With me?
A: Yes.
B: Even if I were a man?
A: This is nonsense.
B: You don't really like me. You just like me because I'm a woman.

Hmm, interesting. At this point, the gay boy is almost break into tears, yah secara kalimat penolakannya disebutin langsung di tempat. Pretty kasian. Why can't a person like another person no matter what the gender is? That's the message of the movie, I guess.

Anyhoo, sometimes reading it and watching it is a whole different situation. Why?

[background story]
Okeh, so there this oknum yang dulu menjebloskan gue ke dalam dunia-dunia bacaan yang nyeleneh, morally and physically. Well, obviously I'm not talking about bokep ok.
[/background story]

Anyway, manga-manga Jepun itu kan suka ajaib gtu alurnya, ada yang gothic against the God banget, ada yang incest-look-alike (yah tipikal naksir sodara tiri, naksir kaka, naksir ade, naksir kembaran, naksir ibu, naksir ayah, dll) dan ada yang literally incest (as in beyond naksir).

Sigh, reading it is just another reading experience, but watching it… holy hell it made me shivers. Though it's just a simple kiss, kyaa.. traumatic experience. Apalagi pas ngeh adegan selanjutnya ternyata they're doing it. Wakakakaka, gue ampe ngakak. Gila, nakutin ajah.

I fell in love for the first time.. I fell in love with my sister). Ternyata Jun Matsumoto jadi kaya banci gitu di pelemnya, cewe banget, heran gue koq bisa ya dia meranin tokoh Kindaichi dan Tao Ming Tse. Aneh..
