Oscar and Biggie Movies

Image
People said pictures worth a thousand words, so what would be better than a bunch of interesting art-defined pictures taken by New York Times to describe my contented movie-watching experience this year? Avatar. One big fantasy movie with detailed art graphic and marvelous creature. The plot line was so-so, but I figured they deserved the recognition. Sam Worthington transformed in this movie, I hardly recognized him once he changed his hairstyle over and over again. Tsk tsk. Up In The Air. Sweet movie! Love the effortless act of George Clooney in this one, especially when his shot was up-close in the picture, great face line, anyway. The Blind Side. Anyone had this one yet? I searched for it like crazy since like 5 months ago but til now I haven't go it... yet.. Inglorious Basterd. Yay, this guy won the Oscar. So happy for him, my all-time favorite for bad guy. Brothers. Again, I haven't got my hand on this one T_T Why is it movies I looked for since half years ago suddenly h...

City Hall (review timeeee)

Like I've mentioned in the previous post, I'm in love with this series. Why? Well, there's a couple of reason: 1. It featured GREAT chemistry between Cha Seung-won and Kim Sun-Ah, or maybe like what my friend once said, "You could actually hold your breath from seeing those characters exchange something as simple as a glance". Great chemistry as in deep love chemistry, not teenager love-story chemistry kind of thing. Great chemistry as in even in real life, you'd enjoy seeing them interact cause they're both so endearing to each other. Great chemistry as in it's about the dreamer vs the realist, what would be better? Great chemistry as in each dialogue, each expression, you could and would feel what they think without them actually saying it, without any third party voices sounding from out of nowhere. Even their eyes can speak, if I must say. Great chemistry as in they could both still behave as fools fell in love, even in their thirties. 2. It ...

Foreign Movies

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not (France) Well, I gotta admit I didn't expect too much from this movie. Ever since I watched Love Me If You Dare, I expected none less than ambiguous and hard-to-understand movie plot. Like any French movie. So when I saw the first 20 minutes of it, I hate to admit I thought it's a so-so one, UNTIL.. jreng jreng jreng, the plot suddenly took major table-turning. I honestly and literally had my eyes opened since I saw it in office late night waiting for my colleague to wrap up her job, thus it's a lil bit sleepy time. Eiyyy, I like it at instant! You need to saw it, Mademoiselle Audrey Tatou strikes once again. Hehehehe, it's about desperation of one young girl whose love been wasted by some jerk cardiologist doctor. Or so you thought. The Tidal Wave (Haeundae) (Korea) I heard this one made it into box office in Korea, so I thought what harm could be possibly done by trying to take a peek on it? And regret I not, since it is one memorable mo...

The City Hall

This is exactly why I'm loving this latest drama material of mine... Hahahahahaha, so cute.. One not-so-perfect Deputy Mayor, Jo Gook, (played by adorable Cha Seung Won) forced his will upon one poor (but not that foolish) girl, Shin Mi Rae (played by Kim Sam Soon's Kim Sun Ah). Love it! This drama, well, I'd say is an age appropriate one for all of its witty dialogue and cliche humor senses. The guy is 30-sumtin and the lady is 36-going-on-34. Refreshingly cute. Anyway, I just surfed around to find more info about this good-looking actor, Cha Seung Won and apparently he appears more in wide screen than in small screen. Well well well.. ain't he a catcher? ;P He played the North Korean officer in "Into The Gunfire", cast as the revolutionary in "Like the Moon Escaping from Clouds", posed as the desperate detective in thriller movie "Secret", and more in "Libera Me", "My Teacher Mr. Kim", "Blood Rain", "Ey...

Several JDoramas I've watched this holiday, and I loved each and every one of them. Proposal Daisakusen Well, since I am not a big fan of the main couple ( Yamashita Tomohisa - Nagasawa Masami ), I think this movie is one of those 'okay' JDoramas. I despise Yamapi's hair in this one (well, how could I not after seeing Code Blue where he wore his hair perfectly?). The plot line is entertaining, even though I got a bit tired after seeing Yamapi said "Hallelujah, chance!" thousand times and more. I still could not get over the fact that the ending was so excruciating I could've kill someone should there be no SP episode for that one. Geez! And oddly, I think Yamapi's look enhanced dramatically in that SP episode, suddenly he looked nice. Weird, since I don't think he's that gorgeus in the previous 11 episodes. Little that I know that the SP episode took a year after the original episodes. Love Shuffle The Ojiro-sama character was perfect! I can n...

Donghae

Image
This post is dedicated to the only member I adore in my favorite band who seems to be getting older and hence no longer suitable for my pedophile's taste =_= Hahahahahahaha.. Ookay, first of all I know how ridiculous this might seems but in my youthful days *halaaah*, I actually adore this little creature (who is now not so little anymore T_T). His name is Lee Donghae, the member of Super Junior whose actual talent is dancing. I mean it, he can dance better than anyone despite his girlie cutie look. Among all members, I still could not distinguish his voice whatsoever, hahahaha. I'm really sorry, Mister, but you do really have soft-yet-indistinguishable voice. He pronounced 's' as 'sh', 't' as 'ts' in any English word he spoke. Seriously, this guy is cute. For example, "You are my everything" will be heard as "You are my everysching",etc. But still I could not despise this young man (which is weird since I do have zero tol...

I always want to write a book

Image
I always want to write a book. For years. But I did some zero progression upon that dream. Ha-ha! I think the most obvious obstacle is that I dun have the talent. I read some of my writings and yeah, they suck. I re-read some pieces that I made years back and they suck. I even tried to edit my former working masterpiece (right, as if) yet after I took a glance upon it a while ago, it sucks. Ha-ha! But I never gave up on that one dream. It’s only that one dream that I constantly have in my life. Go figure! Anyway, as it is me whom I’m talking about, there is clearly one pretty shallow motivation as to why I want to write a book. It’s the same thing like when I want to have a new mobile phone, it’s not because I desperately need one GSM phone but because I missed hearing ringtone on my phone T_T Dudes, seriously I missed customizing my ringtone (and message tone, come to think of it) as I wished. I love that very part from having a phone. To acknowledge people’s reaction every time someo...
